The Spanish professional football league has taken a very serious approach against those who violate copyright and distribute content without authorization. LaLiga and other institutions will not stop at any time until they achieve their goal of eradicating piracy.
And the head of LaLiga professional football in our country is its president, Javier Tebaswhich has been making various statements regarding the incessant fight they are having against illegal IPTVs that distribute content without authorization.
Recently Javier Tebas attended Jordi Wild’s YouTube channel, in an interview in which he spoke about a multitude of issues related to Spanish football, but he had some surprising words against the Fire TV stick, the dongle from Amazon.
We all know that the Fire TV stick from Amazon is one of the most popular devices at the moment, and can be connected to virtually any television to make it smart.
Additionally, Amazon’s Fire TV stick is also often used to create custom IPTV lists, however, there are some people who make legal use of it and others who do not.
One of the most striking statements made by Tebas in this interview with Jordi Wild was when he referred to Amazon’s Fire TV: “Sometimes Amazon Fire TVs come pre-installed with IPTV applications,” he said.
This is not true, because the Fire TV sticks that are sold new do not come with IPTV applications, and perhaps he was referring to those that are sold already modified by third parties.
On the other hand, it should be clarified that programs to access IPTV content are completely legal as long as they do not violate copyright.
Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) allows content to be streamed over the Internet, and as long as the channels are copyright-free, there should be no problem.
The problem arises when people misuse these technologies and include pre-configured channel lists to which they do not have the rights.
Tebas is referring to the latter, and it is the fight that the professional football league in our country is having to eradicate piracy.
