() –– Rock band Jane’s Addiction has issued an apology and announced the cancellation of its upcoming concert after band members Dave Navarro and Perry Farrell got into an altercation onstage during a recent show.
“We would like to extend a sincere apology to our fans for the events that occurred last night,” reads the statement posted on the Instagram stories of the band this Saturday.
The band’s show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, previously scheduled for Sunday night was canceled “as a result” of the altercation, the statement said.
Refunds will be issued at the point of ticket purchase.
Videos and images posted on social media showed Farrell, the lead singer of Jane’s Addiction, confronting guitarist Navarro in the middle of a song during Friday’s concert in Boston.
The two appeared to be exchanging words as Farrell approached the guitarist, who was attempting to hold Farrell back.
Farrell then attempted to punch Navarro until other members of the gang and crew intervened and grabbed Farrell to separate him from Navarro.

Jane’s Addiction is currently on tour and is scheduled to play in Toronto on Wednesday. The tour is scheduled to conclude in Los Angeles in October.
