Ten people have died and five others have been injured when a three-storey building collapsed in Meerut, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, authorities have reported.
Among the dead are five minors, including a one-and-a-half-year-old baby. There are also five other victims aged 18, 20, 40 and 63, according to NDTV. The injured are in Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College Hospital.
The building collapsed at around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Members of the National Disaster Response Force and the State Disaster Response Force were mobilized and managed to rescue a total of 15 people who had been trapped.
The search continues to try to locate other possible survivors.
