Bad news for all fans of The Lord of the Ringsespecially for those who were waiting Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Gameas it has just been confirmed that the game will need more time.
As you probably know, the teams behind this project are Private Division and Weta Workshop, who want to show you what it’s like to live in The Shire, just as Frodo and Sam once did.
However, anyone interested in trying out this promising proposal will have to be a little more patient, as the developers confirmed that it will no longer be released this year, but in early 2025.

As you may have noticed, developer Weta Workshop has pushed the game’s release from fall 2024 to early 2025 in a bid to fulfill its vision and potential. It has also asked fans to stay tuned to the Hobbit Day presentation on September 22 for more information on the release.

Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game welcomes you home as a fellow Hobbit, who must discover everything there is in this curious region of Middle Earth.
Your mission will be to help your town flourish, so you will have to decorate your home, tend your garden, fish in the ponds, look for wild fruits and herbs, trade with your neighbors, prepare home-cooked meals and even create relationships.
It is worth mentioning that this game inspired by the books of J.R.R. Tolkien It will present you with a very lively world, where the weather will be the protagonist in affecting daily routines, so everything will change according to the seasons of the year.
Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will arrive digitally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, via Steam, on a date yet to be announced.
