OHLA has appointed Eva Pavo, from Correos, as the new corporate director of Communication and Brand, where she will lead the company’s strategic lines of communication with the main interest groups and media.
The construction company owned by the Mexican Amodio brothers highlights in a statement that Pavo “is an expert in transforming brand image as a lever for change in organizations.”
OHLA is currently looking for investors to inject new liquidity into the company, with the aim of being able to face the next refinancing of its debt.
The new communications director, who replaces Mar Santos, was chosen by Forbes as “one of the most creative minds in Spain” and positioned as the second most admired dircom by Scopen in 2023.
Before joining OHLA, Pavo was Director of Communications and Marketing at Correos, where, between 2018 and 2024, she led the renewal of the brand and positioned the company in the ‘Top 20’ of the Merco 2022 ranking of the most responsible companies in Spain according to ESG criteria, and in 41st place in the annual ranking of the most valuable Spanish brands by the consultancy Brand Finance.
Pavo, who has a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and an Executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, was previously Director of Communications and Marketing at Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.
