Bluesky has announced that it is now possible to share videos of up to 60 seconds in length on the platform, a feature that has arrived with the 1.91 update of the mobile application and is being gradually implemented among its users.

He also said that only one video can be shared per post and that he currently supports files in .mp4, .mpeg, .webm and .mov formats. In addition, this feature will be integrated by default, so that videos will play automatically, although it is possible to disable it from the Settings section.

Bluesky has also detailed that Subtitles can be attached to videos and that a total of 25 videos or the equivalent of 10 GB of video can be uploaded per day, although it does not rule out changing this limit in the near future.

On the other hand, he has advanced that to share content the email must be verified, which Reduce spam and abuse on the social networkand that it is possible to include tags in videos. For example, to identify adult content.

It has also warned that users can report harmful content and that users “who repeatedly violate” its community guidelines could be sanctioned. In that case, Bluesky may remove your ability to upload videos.

Finally, he said that each video is processed through Hive and Thorn, which scan it for inappropriate content, such as child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

In the event that a user deletes a post containing a video, the video will be deleted immediately and the information will also be completely erased from the company’s databases.

In order to publish videos on Bluesky, it is necessary to update the platform’s mobile application to version 1.91However, for some users this option may not yet be enabled as it is being implemented gradually.
