Epic Mickey: Rebrushed director talks about possible sequel return

There is less and less time left for all those who are waiting Epic Mickey: Rebrushed have the chance to get their hands on it. If that wasn’t enough, the game’s director just talked about the possibility of an enhanced version of the sequel coming down the road and his words will get you excited.

As you probably remember, the sequel to Epic Mickey It was released almost 12 years ago on PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation Vita and PC, and left a good taste in the mouths of everyone who tried it.

Now, Jason Mallet, director of Epic Mickey: Rebrushedshared a few words about the possibility of seeing the second installment back:

“Well, everyone at Purple Lamp is ready, and it’s something we’d really love to do. It was a real pleasure to work on it.” Epic Mickey And, we can’t say anything right now, but it would be amazing if we had the opportunity to do it again.”

As you can see, the team behind the game is more than focused on bringing Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two to next-generation consoles, although everything will depend on the outcome of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed.

What is Epic Mickey: Rebrushed?

Epic Mickey is a 3D platformer inspired by the original design of the iconic Disney character, which will return with a remake by THQ Nordic that promises visual and gameplay improvements.

The adventure will allow you to join Mickey Mouse on a colorful adventure as he traverses Wasteland, a world inspired by classic Disney stories, where he will be able to use a magic paintbrush that allows players to create their own solutions to platforming puzzles.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC next month. September 24th.
