The best accessory for the beach is a portable tap to drink cold freshly drawn beer

Beers on a terrace

The concept of dominguero is widespread in Spain. And although it is used for everything, we normally use it to describe those people who spend the day at the beach and are equipped to the teeth. For all of them, admire your next acquisition.

While there is nothing tastier and more refreshing than a well-drafted draft beer at your trusted bar, we normally gladly accept a third of a glass or a can. It is not a plan to get fancy.

But why settle? Technology is on our side, and if you don’t believe us, you just have to see the Keg Cooler Keg, an invention that offers a draft beer supply system integrated into a fridge. Of course, we do not believe that drinking beer with alcohol is healthy.

The Cooler Keg looks a lot like a regular picnic cooler, aside from the pair of taps sticking out of the top. These connect to two mini kegs inside, each of which can hold up to 6.7 liters or the equivalent of 36 standard beers.

Drinks are kept cold by custom ice packs placed around the barrels or, if you prefer, the fridge itself can be filled with ice.

The Cooler Keg is designed to be as portable as a regular fridge. The drink lines, as well as the CO2 regulator and cartridges, are hidden inside, and there’s also room for the removable shot tower. It weighs 20.4 kg empty and up to 32.7 kg with full barrels.

Best of all, once installed, it doesn’t need electricity to run. And it’s not just for drinking beer. The team says the barrels can be filled with any beverage: champagne, cider, soft drinks, soda or sparkling water, even cocktails.

Timed terraces arrive in Spain: maximum time to drink beer and minimum number of diners

The kegs have been designed with a wide mouth so that they can be easily filled with cans, bottles, drums or the like.

Its creators claim that the Cooler Keg has a few advantages over its rivals: light weight and portability is one of the main ones, as well as ease of installation and cleaning. Also, you don’t need external barrels or ducts like jockey boxes.

The Cooler Keg is currently seeking funding on Indiegogo, where it has already raised over $175,000 of its $20,000 goal.. Donations start at $629 and, if all goes well, shipping is scheduled for March 2023.
