Russian authorities said Tuesday they had shot down nearly 145 drones launched by the Ukrainian army against their territory, including 20 fired at Moscow, where at least one death has been recorded.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has stated on its Telegram account that “during the night, an attempt by the kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using unmanned aerial vehicles against the territory of the Russian Federation was recorded.”
“Air defence systems have destroyed and intercepted 144 Ukrainian drones,” he said, adding that 72 have been shot down in the Bryansk region, in addition to 20 destroyed in the Moscow region.
He also stressed that fourteen aircraft were intercepted in Kursk, thirteen in Tula, eight in Belgorod, seven in Kaluga, five in Voronezh, four in Lipetsk and one in Oryol, in what is one of the largest-scale attacks by Kiev, which has not yet commented on the incident.
