Renowned Mexican singer and actress Susana Zabaleta announced the cancellation of her concert scheduled for Saturday night, September 7 in Mérida, after confirming the death of her father, Alfonso Zabaleta Margaín.
Through her social media, the artist expressed the deep pain she is experiencing and explained her decision to cancel the performance.
“My father became very ill. I know that as an artist my obligation is to be on stage, but my obligation as a daughter is to be there with my brothers and my mother,” shared Zabaleta, visibly affected by the loss.
She added candidly: “It’s hard to sing and be in a mess,” reflecting the deep emotional impact she faces.
The singer traveled to Monclova to accompany her family in this difficult moment, and took the opportunity to invite the public to attend the rescheduled concert, which will take place next Thursday, September 19 at the Palacio de la Música. Tickets purchased for the performance will be valid for the new date.
Susana Zabaleta, one of Mexico’s most beloved artists, thanked her fans for their support and understanding of her situation.
