As the miniaturization of components has advanced, the Chinese manufacturer DJI has been reducing the size of its drones with increasingly smaller models – also driven by the tightening of regulations for flying this type of device above certain weights – If the DJI Mini and Mini Pro range of drones already reach weights below 250 grams (from which the regulations are tightened), now its new DJI NEO goes a step further and stays in only 135 grams with dimensions of 130 x 157 x 48.5 mm.

Its small size should not fool us, it is capable of flying 2,000 metres (although in Spain it should not normally exceed 120 metres), and reaching speeds of up to 16 m/s in manual mode (about 58 km/h). It has a remote control range of up to 7 km and can withstand winds of 29 km/h.

Its autonomy for each 1,435 mAh battery is about 18 minutes, one minute less if propeller guards are used.

It has 22 GB of internal storage for its camera with a half-inch sensor with a 14 mm equivalent lens and f/2.8 aperture. It can take 12 megapixel photos and record 4K at 30 FPS or FullHD at 60 FPS with a rate of 75 Mb/s.

The camera is integrated into a single-axis mechanical stabilizer, so horizontal stabilization is handled by the drone itself and electronic balancing systems.

Live video streaming supports Full HD at 60 FPS using 2.4 and 5 GHz band transmission. It also has WiFi and Bluetooth to communicate with your smartphone and transfer photos and videos.

Its price is as reasonable as its size, and we can get it for free. 199 euros without remote control. A pack with two batteries and the control unit is also sold for 349 euros.
