September 6 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has published a new video on Thursday of the six hostages found dead last weekend in an underground tunnel in the Gaza Strip, this time corresponding to the American-Israeli citizen Hersh Golderg-Polin, in which it calls on the United States government to do “everything possible” to end the war.
“I can’t remember the last time I saw the sun or breathed fresh air, and the worst part of it all is that my own country, Israel, has been trying to bomb me non-stop so they don’t have to take responsibility and make a deal for their mistake and for leaving me behind. I call on you, Mr. President (of the United States) Joe Biden, and (Secretary of State) Anthony Blinken, and all my fellow Americans to do everything you can to stop the war, stop this madness, and bring me home now,” Polin says in the video.
During his speech, the date of which is not known, he also recalled that he was kidnapped on October 7 and that since then he had managed to survive “with almost no medical assistance, with little food and little water.”
Finally, he sends his regards to his family, recognizing their struggle to achieve his release and asking them to “be strong for him,” and expresses his desire to “see them soon.”
Polin and the five other hostages were found by Israeli troops in a tunnel in Rafah Governorate, in the south of the enclave, with apparent signs of having been executed. Hamas, for its part, has blamed their deaths on Israeli airstrikes.
