September 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Opposition leader and former member of the war cabinet, Benny Gantz, believes that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has “lost his way” and is confusing his personal interests with those of the country.

“He has lost his way and sees himself as the state. And this is dangerous,” Gantz said on Tuesday during his speech at the annual conference of the Israel Bar Association, where he reproached Netanyahu for wanting to “survive in power at any price,” reports ‘The Times of Israel’.

Gantz also criticized those who have recently called Netanyahu a “murderer” following the discovery of the lifeless bodies of six Hamas hostages in a tunnel in the town of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

“Netanyahu is not a murderer and I condemn the incitement against him,” said the former Israeli defence minister and alternate prime minister. In this regard, he pointed out that the “murderers” are Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
