Prosegur launches the first port security and surveillance service with jet skis in Spain

Aug. 30 () –

Prosegur, a company dedicated to the private security sector, has launched a pioneering port security and surveillance service using jet skis in Spain, the company announced in a statement on Friday.

This new service has been launched in Puerto Banús (Marbella), in consortium with Civitas Puerto Banús, and the company hopes to expand it to other ports in Spain in the coming months. Its aim is to help the security team protect, monitor and track the port space “in a faster and more efficient way.”

This service includes a security team made up of security guards specialised in port security and familiarised and qualified in the work carried out daily in seaports. In addition, they are also responsible for establishing command centres, deploying security and control teams, and protecting both users and workers, indicating and disseminating necessary maritime information.

Prosegur Security’s Southern Zone Director, David Monge, has stated that for a port’s security to be “truly effective and efficient, it must be addressed in a comprehensive manner, promoting a global security culture throughout the space and optimising resources and efforts, as well as facilitating collaboration between all parties involved.”

In this regard, Mongue explained that by associating the company with “leading” institutions such as Civitas Puerto Banús, it can continue to improve the visitor experience and better serve its customers with new security solutions.

Within this framework, Prosegur and Civitas Puerto Banús will continue to develop security measures that improve the experience of port users and coordinate new surveillance strategies to ensure the proper functioning of the space.
