Aug. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
South Korean authorities have denounced that North Korea fired two cruise missiles into the Yellow Sea between China and Korea on Wednesday, coinciding with the 100th day since the inauguration of South Korean President Yoon Suk. yeol.
This would be the fourth missile launch since the Yoon government took office. In addition, it would be the first time in two months — since June 5 — that Korea has launched a ballistic missile, the Yunhap agency reported.
This launch came two days after the South Korean president proposed an economic aid program in exchange for the denuclearization of North Korea, as announced in his Liberation Day congratulatory speech.
Seoul offered a large-scale food program as well as assistance in upgrading infrastructure in the energy sector or upgrading ports and airports to handle international trade. Yoon also proposed granting aid for efficiency in the agricultural, health or financial sectors.
The military authorities of South Korea and the United States are analyzing the specifications of the launch.
