The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Antonia Urrejola, had a conversation phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, to address the current scenario after the war of aggression launched by Russia on Ukrainian territory.
During the conversation, the Chilean Foreign Minister expressed her country’s solidarity with Ukraine and reiterated the commitment of the Latin American country to continue supporting Ukraine in the corresponding multilateral instances, as well as with the delivery of humanitarian aid.
In addition, he guaranteed the national commitment to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine and pointed out that Chile hopes to collaborate with Ukraine in demining its ports once the fighting ends.
Minister Kuleba, meanwhile, thanked the support that Chile has given his country both at the multilateral level and with humanitarian aid and reported that they highly value the national experience in demining.
At the end, both Ministers valued the excellent level of bilateral ties and agreed on the importance of continuing to strengthen them.
