When we learned of the arrival of the CoolerMaster CryoFuze 5 thermal paste, In addition to the phrase “thermal paste with AI” that the company was quick to deny, we were also struck by the availability of the paste in a multitude of colors.
After all, thermal paste is an element – used to improve contact and thermal transfer between chips such as the CPU and its heatsink – that is applied once in a while and remains hidden, so the color did not seem too relevant.
Big mistake, now Cooler Master has shown what the use of having thermal pastes of different colors is: To be able to paint a beautiful picture using the CPU as a canvas. In a short 20-second video on the social network Twitter/X we can see how an artist paints a small landscape on the CPU’s IHS. Both the sounds and the music, as well as the title referring to “a happy little landscape” are reminiscent of the painting videos of the famous Bob Ross.
To do this, use several of the 6 colors available in the CryoFuze 5 thermal plastic.
It is clearly not functional and does not have any cooling advantages, quite the opposite due to the excess paste used, but it is still an eye-catching advertising campaign with a nice touch.
