We are in an era immersed in artificial intelligence, and where the world’s largest technology companies are investing billions of dollars.
However, many technology companies that rely on Nvidia have suffered a setback in recent hours when they learned of a problem.
According to the media The InformationNvidia reportedly notified partners such as Microsoft, Google and Meta that its Blackwell B200 artificial intelligence chip will be delayed by at least three months in productionbeing a considerable delay.
They say this delay is due to “a design flaw discovered unusually late in the production process.”
It should be noted that the B200 chips are a follow-up to the H100 chips that power large swaths of the AI cloud market.
Nvidia is conducting a new series of tests with chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and thus Blackwell chips will not be shipped in large quantities until the first quarter of 2025.
The media outlet said Microsoft, Google and Meta have already ordered chips worth tens of billions of dollars.
Nvidia previously said Blackwell-based products would be available through partners starting in 2024.
This delay in production could affect future devices and projects announced by major technology companies in the short term, so some delays are expected in this regard.
