Apple Intelligence arrives in iOS and iPadOS 18.1 developer beta

Apple has released iOS and iPadOS 18.1 betas to developers, which are now available for download and testing and introduce the Apple Intelligence AI-powered ecosystem.

The company planned to integrate Apple Intelligence into the first versions of its new operating systems – iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and MacOS Sequoia – starting in the fall. Specifically in September, although in the end will come integrated into iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1.

According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple will release the final version of these updates in October, although they will not include all the features included in Apple Intelligence. Among them, those that will be part of Siri.

Following the release of the betas of iOS and iPadOS 18, watchOS 11 and macOS Sequoia in the middle of this month, the firm has launched the iOS 18.1 betas and iPadOS 18.1, aimed at iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPad with Apple Silicon family chips. That is, M1 or later models.

In the accompanying developer notes, Apple points out that when using Apple Intelligence in these betas “the new Siri user interface may not be able to display in full screen on larger CarPlay displays.”

These betas are intended for developers, so that they can test them and provide feedback to the company so that it can improve the features they offer in preparation for their official launch.
