The Russian Justice Ministry announced on Friday that the Russian-language edition of the German tabloid Bild has been added to a list of foreign agents for publishing “false information” about Kremlin policies.

“Bild in Russian has spread false information about decisions taken by the state authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies pursued by them, as well as false information aimed at creating a negative image of the Armed Forces,” reads a statement from the Ministry of Justice, as reported by TASS.

According to the Russian Justice Ministry, the aforementioned edition of ‘Bild’ also opposed the “special military operation”, a euphemism with which Russia refers to the invasion of its neighbouring country, Ukraine, launched at the end of February 2022 by order of President Vladimir Putin.
