French police have evacuated Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airport for around an hour for security reasons following a bomb threat.

According to the agency Reutersthe police launched a large-scale operation and ordered the cancellation of flights and the evacuation of passengers. However, The situation is now under control and the airport has reopened.gradually returning to normal.

Some passengers took to social media to complain that their flights had been cancelled. At least one Air France flight to Paris has been affected.
