Step by step to restrict your Facebook profile
To do this, you need to enter your user profile and go to the settings section, which is represented by three dots.
In the menu, click on “Restrict profile.” Facebook will display the privacy conditions that apply to the profile restriction.
If you agree, select the “Restrict your profile” option and then “Accept.”
To find out if the measure worked, you have to go back to the settings and go to the “View as” option.
This feature allows you to see how users outside your friends list view your profile. If you have applied the restriction filter correctly, a message will appear referring to this. In addition, it will not be possible to take screenshots.
When you restrict your profile, people will still be able to search for you and send you friend requests and messages.
What happens when the profile is restricted
- Only your friends will see the photos and posts on your profile.
- Only your friends will be able to see your full-size profile picture and cover photo.
- Posts you’ve set to public will change to “Friends.”
- Only a portion of your profile information section will be visible to everyone.
- Only your friends will be able to see your stories.
- Profile review and tag review will be enabled.
- You will be able to share new posts and photos only with your friends.
