Jul 22. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Israeli police arrested an army reservist on Monday accused of falsifying identity documents for six Palestinian citizens – also detained – so that they could pass themselves off as Israelis and thus legally reside in the country.

According to the Israeli police investigation, the suspect had issued false military certificates in recent years for six members of a Palestinian family residing illegally in Israel, who presented these documents to identify themselves to the authorities.

Following a secret investigation, police have arrested the reservist for using a printer to falsify these identity documents for the Palestinians, originally from the West Bank town of Tulkarem, who are in police custody for questioning.
