AMD has delayed the launch of its next Zen 4 desktop processors to September 27the same day on which the presentation of thirteenth generation Intel Core processors with their new Raptor Lake architecture. This means that, in relation to the original date that was known, we will have to wait a little longer.
The latest information available was that AMD would have an event at the end of this month of Augustwhere the entire platform would be launched – Well, what good is a processor without available motherboards – to open sales on September 15. However, as mentioned in WCCFTech, this has been pushed back to the 27th of September.
The reasons behind this delay are unknown, but considering that an Innovation event will take place on September 27 in which Intel will launch its Raptor Lake processors, it would not be unreasonable to think that AMD believes it has such a superior product that it can simply be compared like this on launch day..
In any case, we will have to wait a little longer and see if AMD chips really can withstand this new pressure.
