As of July 15, the Social Security has registered 21,416,521 members, which represents 96,116 more people employed than at the end of June, according to a statement from the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration.
According to data up to July 15, the total number of members has increased by 506,864 in the adjusted series, in the last year, and by 1.82 million people since before the start of the pandemic.
Discounting seasonality and the calendar effect, 337,992 jobs have been created since the beginning of 2024, a figure in line with pre-pandemic levels, reaching 21,180,928 members, with an increase of more than 29,000 people in the last two fortnights.
“The labour market remains dynamic. As of 15 July, we have surpassed 21.4 million members and are approaching 21.2 million employed people if we discount seasonality and the calendar effect,” said the Minister for Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz.
