Philips is betting big on its Evnia gaming monitor division. We’ve already seen several launches recently, and now comes the new one. Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W, a model with a 27-inch “Fast VA” type panel with a response time of 0.3 ms (MPTR and not GtG, which remains at 1 ms).
It offers a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, which is not particularly surprising at this point, but the 280 Hz it reaches at its maximum frequency is more notable. It supports HDR10 content, although it does not seem to comply with certifications VESA DisplayHDR.
The panel has some curvature, although we don’t know the total radius. Its maximum brightness is 300 nits and promises color coverage of the entire sRGB range. Its contrast ratio is 4,000:1, above the typical values of many VA panels, which already have higher values than those of IPS or TN panels.
The video inputs are two HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.4. It also has an audio output.
Its price will be quite low, we are talking about when it hits the market this month, the Philips Evnia 27M2C5200W will cost 229 euros in Spain.
