According to Colombian Institute of Educational Credit and Technical Studies Abroad (Icetex), a total of 4,067 users of educational credit will receive the benefit of condonation 25% or 50% of this financing for having completed their higher education studies and obtaining their degree.

For Ramiro Forero Corzo, vice president of credit and collection of the entity, “The waiver for graduation is for those young people in a vulnerable condition either by the Sisbén survey, within the cut-off points established by the Icetex board of directors or because they are indigenous”.
According to the vice president, vulnerable youth, According to the Sisbén survey, they are entitled to up to 25% forgiveness on the borrowed capital.

For their part, those belonging to the indigenous population will have the forgiveness of up to 50% of the capital that has been lent to them to pursue their higher education programs.
The total forgiveness amounts to the sum of 41,844 million pesos and will be for users who met the requirements at the end of the educational program and at receive your graduation.
