After many leaks, rumors and other types of information, Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Ring: the first “smart” ring” from the company. However, if you had any interest in getting it, it seems that Spain is not among Samsung’s plans to put it on sale.
This is a quantifying device designed to measure the user’s activity, with its own pulse sensor, workouts and sleep. All of this is managed from the Samsung Health platform.
It can also notify you of notifications with small vibrations, and can be associated with some smartphone functions (only on Samsung devices), such as taking a photo. It has 8 MB of internal memory and connects to the mobile phone via Bluetooth.
It will be available in 2.6mm and 7mm thickness and width sizes, but the diameter can be adjusted between different sizes. Interestingly, in addition to weight, specifications also vary by size, and those with fatter fingers will be able to enjoy a larger battery capacity. We are talking about a minimum battery of 18 mAh for the smallest size and 23.5 mAh for the largest.
It supports 10 ATM immersion and has IP68 resistance thanks to a grade 5 titanium construction.
The price in Europe, where It will only be available in the United Kingdom, Germany and France, and will cost 449 euros. a fairly high amount if we compare it with devices with higher features such as the brand’s smartwatches.
