Like Nintendo with Pokémon, Sony partners with Palworld creators

Palworld took the indie scene by surprise at the beginning of 2024 with a controversial proposal that has ultimately managed to remain current with moderate success. The company responsible for the project, however, did not rest on its laurels and today has just announced that it has partnered with Sony in a similar way as Nintendo partnered with the creators of Pokemon.

You read that right, just like he did. Game Freak, Creatures and Nintendo with The Pokémon Company, Sony Music Entertainment Japan, Aniplex and Pocketpair will join forces to found Palworld Entertainmenta joint venture that will now be responsible for “expanding and developing new businesses” related to Palworld.

What will the alliance consist of? Palworld with Sony?

In a press release, the three companies explained that their alliance will focus on expanding the reach of the franchise beyond the video game itself, such as licensing and marketing activities related to it.

According to the details, the first efforts of this collaboration will be seen from the 12th of July coming soon with the sale of exclusive merchandise from Palworld at the Chinese event Bilibili World 2024 and will be available for purchase through online stores of Aniplex.

Despite the collaboration with SonyPocketpair has said nothing about the almost confirmed arrival of Palworld to consoles PlayStationbut at this point it seems it is just a matter of time.
