Dynamic Lighting This is one of the new features that came with Windows 11 22H2 and that allows, for compatible devices, to control RGB lighting directly from the operating system without the need for third-party applications.
This feature is especially useful if we have components from different brands that each require their own software to control the lighting. If the devices are compatible with Dynamic Lighting, they can be managed from Windows without having to install additional programs. However, this requires manufacturers to provide their products with compatibility with this technology.
It seems that ASUS is one of the companies that will add support for Dynamic Lighting in Windows via a new BIOS for its latest motherboards on Intel and AMD platforms. At the moment it is in the beta BIOS phase, but it is expected that once validated, all ASUS motherboard BIOSes will begin to support this technology directly.
The feature is enabled or disabled directly from the advanced options tab of the UEFI BIOS, in the LED lighting section and, more specifically, where it says "Windows Dynamic Lighting."
Naturally, if we want to make use of advanced RGB configuration features, we will still need ASUS Aura's own software to be able to use them.
