YouTube AI now allows you to remove copyrighted audio from videos without affecting the rest of the sound

Geeknetic YouTube's AI now allows you to remove copyrighted audio from videos without affecting the rest of the sound 1

Until now, when YouTube detected that we uploaded a video with a part of a song that could infringe the creator’s copyright, the only possible option to fix it was to remove all the audio from the video or cut the affected part (video and audio).

Thanks to the advances of the AI, Now, the Google-owned video service will allow you to delete only the affected song, leaving the rest of the sounds in the video as they were originally created.

The function is integrated into the Youtube interface itself, when the inclusion of a copyrighted track is detected. In this case, the system allows the user to replace the entire audio with another free track from the platform's own catalogue, cut a piece of the video, file a claim if the rights are held or, with the new version, delete only the affected song, leaving the rest of the audio, vocals, etc., unchanged.

In principle, this feature is already available through the creators panel, although the company warns that it is not yet perfect and can produce errors. In such cases, one of the traditional options would have to be used to remove the audio or trim the affected part of the video.
