Just a few weeks ago Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear would make the move to anime. The wait to find out more details was not long, as not only have they just emerged, but we were also able to take a look at the project.
As promised, the company would participate in Anime Expo 2024 to show more about Guilty Gear Strive And so it was, as it was at the event where the first trailer for the animation was revealed.

What will the anime be about? Guilty Gear?
The trailer shows an animation very similar to how the games in this fighting series look, but what is most striking is that the adaptation will have a story that has not been seen in the games, since one of the main characters will be completely new: Unikawho has an aversion towards Gears.
Below you can see the official synopsis of the anime.
“Following the decline of the once robust fields of science and technology, a new energy source known as magic fuels the modern age. Humanity creates banned biological weapons: Gears. Those Gears They eventually turn against humanity in a rebellion. Although they manage to win the fight for survival known as the Crusadesthe losses of humanity are so great that even after several decades, their emotional wounds still cannot fully heal.”

When will it debut? Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers?
The characters that have already been confirmed are 3: Without Kiske, Sol Badguy and Unikawhich will be performed by the voice actors Issei Miyazaki, Jouji Nakata and Yui Ishikawarespectively. The prolific actor Tomokazu Sugita will act as narrator. It was only revealed to the Japanese actors.
As we told you, SANZIGEN is the company responsible for the production and Shigeru Morikawa will be in charge of the direction of the project, while the composition will be the responsibility of Norimitsu Kaiho.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait, as those in charge of the project did not take this opportunity to reveal the release date, but so far only a premiere is planned for 2025nor on what platform it will be broadcast.
