At least 14 people have died in South Korea due to the torrential rains and floods that have hit the country for the last seven days, and that have also left four missing, according to the latest official balance.
According to information provided by the Central Disaster and Security Countermeasures Headquarters, eight people were killed in Seoul, four in the surrounding Gyeonggi Province and two in the eastern Gangwon Province.
Four other people are still missing in the provinces of Gyeonggi and Gangwon, according to the balance, collected by the official South Korean news agency Yonhap.
The rains, the agency recalled, have caused the evacuation of 7,480 people throughout the country.
