Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday rejected a truce with Ukraine, arguing that “irreversible and acceptable” agreements must first be reached for Moscow, but he said that Russia welcomes any attempt at mediation, recalling the role of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the Istanbul negotiations.
