Beverly Hill Cop 4 fans were left ecstatic after an epic cameo from an iconic Happy Gilmore star in the fourth film starring Eddie Murphy.
Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore, delighted viewers with his brief appearance.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is a 2024 American action comedy film. Eddie, 63, reprises his role as Axel Foley, while Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, and Kevin Bacon star in new roles.
And fans were happy to see Christopher in it as they wrote: ‘Shooter McGavin cameo in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. Well that made my day.’

The scene in question occurs 90 minutes into the film, when Axel and Bobby Abbott (Joseph Gordon Levitt) crash their helicopter on a golf course.
“Hey, excuse me, what the hell is going on?” a confused player on the field asks.
And it turns out that character is played by Christopher.
He is not credited as that character in Beverly Hills Cop 4, and the credits simply list him as “Golfer” at the end.
In the film, Axel returns to Beverly Hills after his daughter Jane’s life is threatened.

She and Axel team up with her ex-boyfriend and old friends John Taggart and Billy Rosewood to raise the temperature and uncover a conspiracy.
The Beverly Hills franchise has been dormant since the third installment hit theaters 30 years ago in 1994.
The original Beverly Hills Cop (1984) was a huge hit in the US, grossing over $234 million against a $13 million budget, making it the highest-grossing film of that year.
Three years later, Beverly Hills Cop II (1987) became another box office hit, grossing $299.97 million on a larger budget of $27 million.
It would be six years before the third installment, Beverly Hills Cop III (1994), hit theaters, but it suffered a huge drop in the box office department, grossing $119.2 million on a $70 million budget.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F premiered on Netflix on July 3.
