“I see great potential for cooperation in the field of nursing education between Indonesia and HKMU,” said Indonesian Consul General in Hong Kong Yul Edison during his meeting with the President of Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU).HKMU), Professor Paul Lam Kwan Sing, at HKMU on Friday, June 21.
The HKMU has the largest nursing department in Hong Kong, with about 950 graduates each year. However, this number is still insufficient to meet the demand for nurses in Hong Kong’s healthcare system.

Professor Paul and Consul General Yul also discussed various possible collaborations in aviation education and airport management, community training and scholarships to attract more Indonesian students to Hong Kong. Indonesia has about 38 health polytechnic schools under the Ministry of Health. Professor Paul and the HKMU team welcomed the various possibilities for cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Consul General Yul also had the opportunity to visit several facilities at the HKMU Faculty of Nursing. These facilities include a virtual cadaver dissection table and the use of augmented reality in learning modules.
