Users report failures in the Bait service

According to the Downdetector site, since midday this Friday, users began to report greater failures in Bait’s telephone and internet services. In a disaggregated manner, 70% correspond to problems in the mobile service and 30% in the internet.

Expansión requested information from Bait about the failures in its service, but until the publication of the text it had not issued any comments. It also sought information from Altan Networks but did not respond to the request.

In April Altán assured Expansión that the problems in its network, which supplies the operation of OMVs such as Bait, are due to increased user traffic that has saturated its maintenance windows, those that allow the support of Altán’s capacity.

While the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) explained to this medium that the problems from Altan they come to failures in the equipment that registers users and that in turn enables telecommunications services.

Since April, Bait has been experiencing service outages, leaving consumers unable to send messages or receive calls.
