At least one person has died and nine others have been injured, including a seven-month-old baby, by a Russian bombing that hit a residential building in the city of Dnipro, in eastern Ukraine, this Friday, according to a report preliminary report of victims released by local authorities.
Regional governor Sergei Lyisak has warned on his Telegram account that three of the injured people are in serious condition, while emergency services are trying to find the whereabouts of two missing people. Part of the building has collapsed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has assured that Russian forces launched the missile “directly” at the building and has called on his international allies to continue providing help, in particular by sending air defense systems.
“We need a reliable air shield for Ukraine,” stressed Zelensky, who for months has demanded the delivery of Patriot systems to contain Russian projectile launches.
