He highlighted that launching the Pension Fund is a commitment of the president of the republic and that it is implemented with the help of Banxico, Infonavit, the Treasury and Consar. Yorio said that the resources from the inactive accounts will not be invested in an associated regime.
“I am not aware that there is an associated investment regime, rather it is a budgetary mechanism to compensate workers who are going to have a very low replacement rate,” he highlighted.
For his part, the president of the Mexican Association of Afores (Amafore), Guillermo Zamarripa, said after the event that “it is up to the government to make clear the financing sources” of this Fund and estimated that they will be low amounts.
He pointed out that both the IMSS and the ISSSTE still need to detail the rules or requirements that they will ask of workers so that they are beneficiaries of a pension of 100% of their last salary.
“There are certain requirements. One of them is that you leave after 65 years of age. So, it is up to the IMSS and the ISSSTE to get it out, it is up to them to get the rules out to say how people are going to go and do the procedure. to ask for it,” said Zamarripa.
