The AMDH-Nador has also assured that in recent weeks the bodies of immigrants who had been in the Nador funeral home for two years have been buried “in a semi-secret and non-transparent manner” in the Sidi Salem cemetery “in the presence of only some agents.” .
“Authorities and members of the Judicial Police have buried at least five bodies in the absence of representatives of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights and the National Human Rights Council,” he assured.
The AMDH asks that “the real and total number” of the deceased who have been buried in the Sidi Salem cemetery be published, many of them buried without having been identified, and that the total number of missing people be revealed.
It also demands the release of all migrants imprisoned in relation to this incident and assures that many of them are registered with false names to avoid being linked to what happened. Many of them suffer permanent disabilities.
