June 23. () –

The Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business, Carlos Body, will appear this Monday, June 24, in Congress to report on the latest advances regarding European funds and the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Spanish economy.

As on previous occasions, the appearance will be before the Joint Commission for the European Union, which is where the evolution of the Next Generation funds has always been reported.

The request to appear has been made by the minister himself, who has always ironically said that the opposition does not ask him oral questions in the control session about the good evolution of the economy, and in fact in the order of next week’s plenary session. , which Europa Press has accessed, there is also no question addressed to him.

Of course, the PP has registered the request for Body to appear in the Economy, Commerce and Business Commission to explain “the loss of competitiveness that the Spanish economy is suffering in recent years.”

TWO MONTHS WITH ‘ELISA’

For now, Nadia Calviño’s replacement will attend Congress on Monday, two months after his last intervention, when he announced the launch of Elisa, a new tool that is used to analyze the monitoring of the implementation of European funds.

On that occasion he also detailed that the execution of funds was already “halfway through” and 34,395 of the 69,528 million euros that the European Commission allocated to Spain for the period 2021-2026 had already been resolved, which means that 55.9% of total resources have already reached homes and companies.

Within the European funds, the Corps assessed the figures relating to the Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation (Perte), of which the Government had already mobilized more than 95% in its first phase and more than 60% were already committed to the final resolution process.

Among these projects, the minister highlighted the performance of the Electric and Connected Vehicle Perte (VEC), with which more than 2.3 billion euros had already been granted to more than 200 projects; and also the Renewable Energy and Renewable Hydrogen and Storage Perte (ERA), with more than 6.6 billion granted to more than 2,000 projects.
