The dialer function that many have longed for within the WhatsApp application, and that will allow you to save a few steps when communicating with numbers.
WhatsApp engineers continue to work on a multitude of new features for the instant messaging application, and one of those features has to do with a dialing function.
This feature was previously seen in a very preliminary phase, but now it is reaching a large group of users, so its availability in a stable version could not be too far away in time.
Basically, WhatsApp is working on a feature to incorporate a dialer into the app improving user convenience by allowing calls directly within the app and without the need to save contacts in the address book.
This is a new action button that can be found within the calls tab and that has been seen in Android beta version 2.24.13.17.
This comes thanks to a new floating button located within the calls tab that makes it easier to access the dialer.
With that, Allows users to make calls directly without the need to add contacts to the address book or open a conversation.
After entering the phone number, users also have the option to save it to the address book as a new contact or add it to an existing contact card.
Likewise, a shortcut to messages will be added to the dialer screen, allowing you to quickly send a message to the phone number.
In this way, users will be able to initiate calls faster, without the previous step of having to save contacts or search for specific conversations.
Additionally, users can also choose to instantly save numbers to the address book while entering phone numbers within the dialer.
At the moment it is in beta version, but it is already accessible by many users, so its presence in a stable version could arrive in the last part of the year.
