At least one soldier has died and another has been injured after a helicopter of the Tunisian Armed Forces crashed this Friday at an air base in the province of Gafsa, located in the center of the country, as confirmed by the authorities.
The Tunisian Ministry of the Interior has detailed that the incident took place during a landing maneuver and has added that there were two soldiers on board at the time of the event, as reported by the Tunisian state news agency, TAP.
Likewise, he has indicated that the base’s medical teams have evacuated the injured soldier, who is stable, without there being any further details about their identities for now. Likewise, for now the causes of the accident are unknown.
