I believe we will witness how History is made“, declared the head of the Ukrainian State, who also thanked all the participants for accepting his invitation to the Swiss event.

“The opinions, ideas and leadership of all countries are equally important to us,” said Zelensky, who announced that the summit will have representatives at different levels of government. a total of 101 countries and international organizations.

The Ukrainian president has reviewed the long road to the summit that began with the presentation of the so-called Ukrainian “Peace Formula” at the G20 summit held in Bali in November 2022 and continued with four meetings of advisors of heads of State and Government to discuss this document.

Zelensky described as a “success” the fact that the process now culminates with the holding of a summit in which a greater number of countries have joined than were represented in previous meetings.

kyiv aims to achieve consensual declarations in favor of the release of prisoners of war of both sides and the return to territory controlled by the Ukrainian Government of all detained and deported civilians, including minors.

The Zelensky administration also hopes to reach an agreement that calls for return of nuclear safety and food security violated with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
