Businessmen ask Sheinbaum for legal certainty; he promises not to concentrate power

“The reform of the Judiciary, and other reforms that are proposed, is opening a space for open parliament with the Congress of the Union, we invite you to participate. In no way is this reform going to represent authoritarianism.”

“Imagine, in my case for so many years that I fought for democracy in Mexico, that becoming president what I would like is to concentrate power,” Sheinbaum assured the businessmen.

He added that the objective is for the Judiciary to have more autonomy, including the possibility of truly representing a power that seeks justice together with the prosecutor’s offices.

The president of the CCE, Francisco Cervantes, told Sheinbaum that the business sector wants to base its relationship for the next six years on three aspects: trust in the government, certainty of the future and unity of Mexicans.

Cervantes pointed out that the private initiative has given its vote of confidence to Sheinbaum, proof of this are the important investment announcements that have been announced recently, which already total more than 42,000 million dollars.

“That is a seal of trust in you, Madam President-elect, so that Mexico continues on that path,” said the president of the CCE, who showed nervousness in the presence of Sheinbaum.

He indicated that from the private initiative, the path of dialogue will be followed, “we have coincidences in addressing with openness the agenda of constitutional reforms proposed, among them that of the judicial power, because as I had the opportunity to recently tell the president, legal certainty “is essential to continue building a truly just country.”
