FIFA 23: How Club Chemistry Will Work in Ultimate Team (FUT) Game Mode

One of the requirements to get a functional club in Ultimate Team from past FIFA games was that the players have chemistry with who they are next to. FIFA 23 will change this system and this is how it will work.

In FIFA 22, for example, we can see lines between the cards that we put into the club. If they share one of the following characteristics between them, the chemistry will increase to “yellow link”: nationality, playing in the same league or being an icon. On the other hand, if they are in the same club they will immediately have a green link.

FIFA 23 has gotten rid of this system to introduce chemistry diamonds. On this occasion, it will no longer be necessary to have two players together to increase their synergy with the squad.

For example, you can have Trent Alexander-Arnold and Robertson as full-backs and they will both get a chemistry diamond for being at the same club, if you add another Premier League player they will go up to two diamonds.

On the left side you will find the template chemistry table. It will appear from clubs to nationalities to be able to increase the diamonds. Note that those with an exclamation mark will not have chemistry.

Player position change

Another detail that has completely changed in FIFA 23 is the position of the players. From now on, the cards will have a maximum of three positions on the field, you will not be able to use position change cards that are not consistent with the data offered by the footballer.

Son Heung-Min has three positions, you will not be able to choose to change him to wing defense, for example.
