At least seven Palestinians were killed this Tuesday night during a series of bombings by the Israeli Army against tents belonging to displaced people in the Al Mawasi area, designated as “safe” by Israeli forces for civilians to leave. city ​​of Rafá, in the south of the Gaza Strip, before the start of its ground operations in the city.

Local sources have confirmed to the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Israeli aviation has dropped numerous bombs in this “safe zone”, causing dozens of injuries and the burning of numerous shops.

Likewise, Israeli troops have used artillery fire and drones to attack the westernmost neighborhoods of Rafah, as well as the southwest area of ​​the city of Khan Younis (south), although no more deaths have been reported so far.

A few hours earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), denounced the death of two doctors after allegedly being tortured in Israeli prisons, where they had been transferred after their arrest within the framework of Israel’s operations in the enclave.

Both Dr. Adnan al Barsh and Dr. Iyad al Rantisi were reportedly subjected to electric shocks and other forms of torture, according to the Gaza Government Media Office.

After this, he recalled that Israel is holding 310 health workers in its prisons, where they are “under torture”, for which he has requested an international investigation.

The Israeli Army began an offensive against the Gaza Strip in response to the Hamas attacks on October 7, which left 1,200 dead and 240 hostages. Since then, Gazan authorities have reported the deaths of more than 37,370 Palestinians, plus another 520 in the West Bank and East Jerusalem due to the actions of Israeli security forces and settlers.
