The far-right candidate of Marine Le Pen’s National Rally for prime minister in France’s legislative elections, Jordan Bardella warned this Tuesday that he will only form a Government if he has “absolute majority” because only then can he apply the policy he proposes.
“I don’t want power for power’s sake, for my personal glory, but to change politics,” he stated in an interview on Europe 1 and on CNews, in which he insisted that “to act, we will need an absolute majority.”
Barbella, Le Pen’s dolphin, has explained that if he does not have an absolute majority he will not be able to apply his party’s priorities: VAT reduction on fuel, gas and electricity either “drastically reduce immigration.”
Furthermore, and to dramatize the situation, he stressed: “We are going to inherit a country that is almost in financial bankruptcy” and that “is experiencing immigration and crime records.”
Faced with this situation, he has presented the elections of June 30 and June 7 as a duel between his proposal, that of the National Group with his partner the president of Los Republicanos, Éric Ciotti, who has thus broken his party, and the left of New Popular Front.
According to his analysis, “the choice is simple” between “the leap into chaos” of that “extreme left” coalition that “has opted for insurrection” and “the responsible and reasonable rupture” that it proposes.
In this regard, he has insisted that since he is going to “inherit a situation of almost bankruptcy”, his work if he reaches the Government will be “put public finances in order” and that is why he will ask for an independent audit since he does not intend to make “political fiction.”
Cut aid to immigrants
Bardella has encrypted 12,000 million euros the cost to public finances of the VAT reduction (from the current rate of 20% to a reduced rate of 5.5%) for fuel, electricity and gas and intends to finance it with measures against social fraud, cut aid to immigrants and a cut of the French contribution to the European Union.
Regarding the second point, he explained that “for an irregular immigrant it will not be possible to benefit from the entire range of health care.” That is Those without papers will only receive emergency care.
Regarding the contribution to the European Union, he specified that he wants to cut it “a little”, after pointing out that France contributes about 10,000 million euros.
He has reproached the EU for financing the supplying water to the Palestinians of Gaza, when there are French people on the island of Mayotte, in the Indian Ocean, who do not have guaranteed supplies.
Respond to Mbappé
Bardella has responded to the calls of some athletes and, in particular, the star of the French soccer team Kylian Mbappé to vote against the extremists.
« When is this multimillionaire, who is balladed in jet-privé, who is a peu gêné de voir ces sports donner des leçons à des gens que gagnent €1400 par mois, qui n’arrivent pas à boucler les fins de mois » :Jordan #Bardella south Europe 1.

“If they ask to vote against the extremists, I don’t take it for granted“, he said first, before adding that although he has “a lot of respect” for these athletes, “we must also respect the vote of the French people.”
Above all, he has wanted to delegitimize them by saying that they are “giving moral lessons” since “billionaire” positions.
“When you’re a billionaire and you travel by private jet, It makes me a little ashamed to see these people giving lessons to people who earn 1,400 euros a month and they don’t make ends meet,” he said.
