G.Skill at COMPUTEX 2024
The renowned memory manufacturer G.Skill has reached this COMPUTEX 2024 loaded with news. Not only with the new CAMM2 type memories installed on a desktop board, but has also shown other options that reach much higher speeds to the usual 8,000 MT/s of those we are currently seeing.
But in addition to fast memories and new formats, the manufacturer has also left us other types of products like the next keyboardsand that we have been able to see during this COMPUTEX as prototypes, with sizes of 65% and 75% where the smaller one called LAMZU has a modern design with keys ASDFQWER differentiated and the largest one has a retro look in cream white and gray.
In addition to memories and keyboards as a prototype, G.Skill has also taught us your new liquid coolingwhich differs from the rest in that it is capable of reversing the rotation of the fans through software. This would avoid having to remove all the fans to turn around in case you want to reverse the turn for any reason.
In addition to this, G.Skill has shown its Trident Z5 Royal and Trident Z5 CK memories with the new CKD chip for improve signal at high frequencies. We are going to review everything that the manufacturer has taught us during this COMPUTEX 2024.
G.Skill DDR5 memories that reach 10,600 MT/s
As an expert manufacturer in RAM memories, during this COMPUTEX we could not miss a shows what its modules are capable of by memory.
Speed has been increased up to 10,600 MT/s in a 32 GB kit (2×16 GB) with a CL56-62-62-126 latency and running smoothly. stable. These memories were installed on a computer with a AMD Ryzen 5 8500G processor along with a ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E GENE motherboard in a Be Quiet! box DARK BASE 701 and with liquid cooling. With this G.Skill wants to show us that this speed can be achieved with normal configuration on any home PC.
It has also shown us two 24 GB DDR5 modules running at 9,000 MT/s simultaneously and with reduced latencies of CL38-52-52-143. This configuration has been possible on a computer with a Intel Core i9-14900K with a ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 APEX Encore motherboard.
New G.Skill CAMM2 modules installed on a desktop motherboard
This new format seems to wants to reach laptops to reduce their size, since they are attached to the plate through contacts. But they would also be useful for motherboards in desktop computersand thus not have to depend on the height that DDR5 DIMM memories offer to install an air heatsink so that they do not disturb each other.
G.Skill has shown new modules in CAMM2 DDR5 format with a speed of 7,800 MT/sinstalled on an ASUS ROG Z790 motherboard called Lengshikeng, a model manufactured for testing purposes to see how it works on desktop computers.
The G.Skill TCOMAS RL AiO can change the direction of the fans by software
After seeing several models with high speeds of DDR5 memory, the manufacturer also has in its catalog AiO liquid cooling. As a novelty, during this COMPUTEX 2024 it has presented us with a new TCOMAS Series RL AiOwhich has as a novelty the possibility of change the direction of rotation of the fans using software.
G.Skill has shown us its new AiO liquid cooling units from the TCOMAS series, of which it has 2 versions. The TCOMAS GA100 It has a design of 360 mm radiator and includes 3 fans with G.Skill magnetic connection GF110. These fans can run up to 2,600 RPM and offers a pressure of 3.2 cmH2Oan air flow of 85.2 CFM with a maximum noise of 36.45 dB(A). The radiator is made of CNC aluminum and has 400 mm nylon-coated rubber that goes to the head of this GA100.
The head has RGB lighting matching the fans, and shows the logo and TCOMAS series illuminated in a mirror design. It is compatible with a multitude of AMD and Intel formats, including the latest AM5 and LGA1700.
Under its TCOMAS series and with this difference of being able to reverse the rotation of the fans, G.Skill also has the GA800. This RL AiO differs from the previous model in that Its head has an LCD screen what is he showing us monitoring information of the team. This way you will be able to see the temperature of the CPU and the coolant, the RPM at which the fans run and other data. All this in a head design that can be square or round and it will be shown with some lively backgrounds.
The radiator also has a size of 360 mm and has 3 G.Skill GF40 fans installed. They are also connected in a chain by magnets and show a lighting pattern in the frame, on a mirror-designed background. The fans offer a maximum of 3,000 RPM with an air pressure of 7.76mmH20an air flow of 85.26 CFM with a noise of 47.06 dB(A).
New G.Skill keyboards with up to 8,000 Hz polling rate
In addition to many high-speed memories and the liquid cooling that we have seen just above, G.Skill will also launch new keyboards with size compact. Exactly two models, one with the size of 65% and another with 75%both have the characteristic that you can adjust the travel distance.
The first model, the G.Skill LAMZU is a keyboard with magnetic switches and stabilizerits travel is adjustable between 0.2 and 3.8mm. The switches used in this model are Black Gateron. It has a layout of 68 keys with white covers, highlighting in blue the ASDFQWER.
There is also the G.Skill Back Spacea keyboard with the size of 75% retro style also with Gateron Magnetic Switches. These are adjustable from the 0.4 to 4 mm and has a polling rate of 8,000Hz. This model connects by cable and offers a latency of only 0.125 ms via USB.
Eye-catching mods in collaboration with G.Skill
To finish the visit to the G.Skill Stand, the manufacturer has shown us different PC mods and builds which have a peculiar design. Made by different modders, these have G.Skill components whether they are memories or liquid cooling that have been personalized For these striking PCs, we leave you with some images of the most attractive ones.
