This Sunday, Moroccan authorities seized more than 500 kilograms of hookah tobacco that was going to be smuggled into Moroccan territory across the border with the city of Ceuta.
Both the country’s police and customs agents have detected this type of tobacco hidden in different parts of a “light vehicle” registered in Ceuta and driven by a Moroccan resident in the same city, according to the state news agency, MAP. .
The vehicle and the merchandise, both seized at customs, have an estimated value of 400,000 dirhams (about 37,200 euros), while the driver has been arrested.
